Cookies and audience measurement on the FixNow24 site
This page describes exactly what is stored in your browser when you visit this site, how long it is kept, and how to change your mind later.
Nothing loads and no cookie is written before you answer
Until you have answered the consent banner, no measurement tool is loaded, no identifier is stored and no cookie is written. If you arrive from a campaign link, its parameters are held in the open tab only, and they are gone when you close it. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and the site remains fully usable after a refusal.
The consent cookie
If you answer the banner, we store a single cookie that records your choice, the date of that choice and the version of the banner. It contains no name, no email address and no account identifier. It is kept for six months: after that, or if the banner changes version, your answer is no longer read and we ask again.
Audience measurement with Google Analytics 4
If you accept audience measurement, Google Analytics 4 stores a random browser identifier to tell visits apart and to count page views, traffic sources and two conversions: a request started and a professional registration. IP addresses are processed by Google in truncated form, and no personal data appears in the events we send.
Campaign parameters (UTM)
When you arrive from a campaign link, five parameters are kept: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content. They stay in the open tab for as long as you have not answered the banner, and then, if you accept measurement, for ninety days in a cookie in your browser. If you refuse, they never leave the tab and disappear when it closes, and a campaign cookie written after an earlier acceptance is removed. They serve only to tell which campaign led to a request or a registration, and they describe the campaign only, never the person.
In the mobile app
The mobile app uses no advertising cookie, no advertising identifier and no cross-app tracking. Product statistics there are internal and serve only to improve the service.
Withdrawing or changing your consent
The Manage cookies link at the bottom of every page reopens the banner and lets you change your answer at any time. A refusal stops the measurement and immediately removes the audience measurement identifiers already stored in your browser. You can also clear cookies from your browser settings.
